Medical ?????
Hi All
Just have a few questions regarding medicals and would really like some input.. Firstly I am married to and Aussie and am applying for the Spouse visa which I am preparing to Front end Load.. Have just got my medicals and need to know... 1. Do you need to send in the X-rays with the application ?? As the doctor has only sent me the sealed envelope... 2. If there is a problem with you medical does the doctor tell you or do you only find out when you send in your application.. Hope these questions dont sound too stupid.. Brent.. |
Re: Medical ?????
My Medical doctor gave me everything, including the x-ray plates. I shall be sending just the sealed envelopes though as on the DIMIA website it states not to send the x-ray plates.
My doctor also told me that I had the all clear on both my blood test (HIV) and read out the x-ray report which was clear. Hope this helps, don't panic though I am sure they would have told you if there was anything un-toward Good luck Natbat Originally posted by Zimbo Hi All Just have a few questions regarding medicals and would really like some input.. The doctor should certainly tell you the HIV test result and you can request your other blood test results. I think you can reasonably expect the doctor to tell you if he/she finds a problem that you are as yet unaware of because they wouldn't want you going about your daily business with an untreated condition! They may order more tests before completing your medical form. The doctor who does your medical is not 'qualified' to determine your suitablity for migration - they can only advise as to what they think your state of health is. If there is any kind of query, ongoing complaint, current medication, you'll be put in category B which means that another doctor will have a look at the medical form when your application arrives at London/Australia etc |
i attended my medical around the middle of november and was not told any results nor was i given any envelopes or xray plates, the doc said that she would send everything on to DIMIA on my behalf and this was the way she always did it.
i can only hope i passed the medical because i have heard nothing from DIMIA to the contrary. something else to worry about? |
NOOOOOOO!
I can't worry about anything else - there isn't any room in my head! :( |

Originally posted by Lany Hi, they discovered two tumors when i recently had my chest xray done, which was a complete shock (im currently applying for spouse visa in oz), the medical advisor from Health Services Australia phoned me to tell me. Then they told me i had to get further tests etc. Basically if they find something wrong it doesn't necessarily mean u will get refused, its worked out on how much the condition will cost to treat. Originally posted by wandrews Do you not get to see the contents of the envelopes or do you get a copy? Never, ever open the envelope!!!! I don't think you do see a copy, unless you sneak a peak over the doctor's shoulder. I was wondering this - surely we cannot be denied access to our medical records? |
Thanks All
Just the last minute jitters.. Waiting for UK police report ( hopefully middle of Feb) then will be putting in my application .. Have allowed worst case scenario of 4 months for the application process .. Then intend to fly to Australia on the 26th of June.. ( Have booked flights already). Originally posted by Lany Yeah bundy, i went for a nuclear bone scan and am awaiting the specialists report on it, but my brother in laws wife did the scan for me (shes a radiographer) and she took a look and said it looked like they were inactive which means they are most probably benign...thank god!!! immigration are being a nightmare though and my case officer is a useless idiot so she is being no help! |
