Median Wages in Australia
Not many official publications show the Australian Median wage, at least not since the 2002-03 figures that were published in 2006.
Those 2002-03 figures were: 2002-03 Median Annual Wage and Salary Income for Australia All Australian Median wage, for all employees over 15 years of age = $32,697 The average wage figure for that period, issued by the ABS was: $37,632 Median Annual Wage and Salary Income Breakdown by age:

The actual Male Full Time average wage for May 2009, for all employees over 15 years of age was $ 70,038 The Median wage for that same month may therefore be about $59,532. and some of the Median rates for age groups may be:
All 2009 figures approximated, but based on reasonable calculations. |
Re: Median Wages in Australia
($47,970/$37,632)^(1/(2009.5-2003.0))-1 = 3.80%. Is good.
($59,532/$32,697)^(1/(2009.5-2003.0))-1 = 9.66%. Is not good. |
