Mechanical Kangaroos
Can anyone tell me anything about some Kangaroos I seen on a Brisbane pavement, there were three of them made form engine parts!
What street they are on? The name of the sculptor/artist? Etc. I brought the subject up while in the chat room but nobody else had seen them.
I’m sure it was Brisbane – but then I do like a drink!

Classic culture??? Not quite. They are BCC engineering test beds...
Roo on bench is known as 'derro bed discourager' test unit 1C (DBD1C).
Roo on street is known as 'drunken yob bin distractor' test unit 3K (other models have rusted out and suffered severe kicking damage). DYBD3K is now more urine resistant and also now incorporates equal parts from Holden and Ford to increase V8 envy, leading to improved bin protection of 38.3% from DYBD1G.
