Default McGinty bites health bullet

WA its just like the UK even follows in health care , just you pay more for a second class system.

Mr McGinty said he was also looking to open closed beds in major as well as secondary hospitals. Currently, 120 such beds were closed.

He promised to ensure they were adequately staffed and appropriate funding made available.

He said his predecessor, Bob Kucera, had done well in many areas of the portfolio - particularly with recruiting nurses.

He wanted to build on that and develop further incentives to get trained nurses back.

Waste and duplication in the $3 billion health system would be in the firing line as he scrutinised all areas of health spending.
