Arrow Marriage Visa - moving to PR

Can anyone please tell me is it two years from OBTAINING your temp. visa that you get PR. Or is it 2 years after your temp. visa is validated, I.e. after you enter Oz?

Big thank you's
Kathy

From Obtaining - got mine in March '03 and a nice letter came from DIMA last week stating I've got 2 months to complte another round of paper work. It looks straight forward though...

Quick question for those who have already been thru' this (Bondi?). I obtained my visa in March '03 but didn't validate and move to Oz until the November. Do I need a UK police check to cover the period March to Nov '03?

Thanks Dinky....I'm glad to hear that's the case, I've just heard that getting a mortgage without being a PR is quite difficult.

neither, its from applying;

Taken from immi.gov.au

Stage 2 - spouse permanent visa
This stage of processing will begin approximately two years after you lodged your visa application and involves assessment of your eligibility for a permanent visa.

Can be, does depend a lot on your circumstances. FIRB should have more info.
