Default Marriage/defacto

[B]Why do immigration want evidence of our marriage? We were married April 2004, have two children and have been together 6 years? We sent a certified copy of our marriage cert with our application so why more info?

Are you going on a Spouse visa? I cant think why your marriage certificate isnt enough. Maybe get in touch with the place where you married so they can send you details showing your marriage in the register.

When I was asked this, I just sent a few old bank statements and old Mortgage statments. This must have been enough as they didnt ask for anything else before they issued visas.
As for why, I dont know, as you would have thought a Marriage Cert and 2 children would be enough evidence really....

Good Luck..
