I am planning to visit Oz on a working holiday visa and was wonering what the procedure would be if I happened to meet an Australian woman whom I wished to marry??

Is there a minimum amount of time I would have to wait before I would be allowed to marry?

Would there be any pre-conditions to me marrying -as there would be if I wished to apply for a de-facto marraige visa (i.e would I be required to have lived with my prospective spouse for 12 months or is marraige itself "proof" that the relationship is genuine and ongoing?)

If no to the above two questions, what are the realistic chances of a UK male (aged 23/24) who has married an Australian woman whilst on a WHV, successfully applying for and obtaining a PR visa on the strength of this marraige?

Any responses to these questions will be much appreciated.

1 month plus 1 day's notice is required of intent to marry in Australia

No, as long as the marriage is genuine (up to the two of you to demonstrate that)
