can anybody help me with thoughts on margate as a place to live, can somebody confirm what area it is in, is it redcliffe area???
whats it like? what are house prices like? have been looking at bayside area, any comparisons?

Hello Amanda, I stayed with friends in Woody Point which is also Redcliffe. Will pm you, but supposed to be going to gym.... ....haven't done a class for about 3 years.... .........so as long as my fingers don't ache too much from the strain I'll pm you!

Margate is about 7kms due North of Brighton, which itself is about 1 km due north of Sandgate.

I've just looked at the map to refresh my memory. Margate adjoins Redcliffe, and so is very local to Suttons Beach. This area reminded me a bit of a very quite Blackpool. But disregard this, as I haven't been to Blackpool since I was little.

I heard that they are building a new bridge to replace the older bridge, (joining Woody Point to Brighton) the only access point for the South.
