Manly (Brisbane) to Brisbane CBD commute. Anybody do it?
I'm just thinking about options on where to buy a place, and the commute is an important part.
Anybody drive or train it? How long, what's the traffic like? Etc?..

I think there are express trains Manly (no stops & about 30 mins) to the City at peak times - definitely a better option than driving - dont think Wynnum Rd is much fun in the mornings!
Trains generally run pretty much on time too.

Train from Manly to Central takes 40 mins. At peak times in am there are express trains which knock off about 10 minutes. Parking in CBD is expensive unless your company provides parking. Usual commuter train experience but generally run on time (unless there is a police incident on the line)...Few and far between. Wynnum/Lytton road is a bit of a nightmare but doable. Very handy for nights out in the City as you can jump the train easily.
