Been looking at both these areas, both seem very nice.
Any opinions from families actually living there would be welcome. Also how far away are these suburbs from the beaches also.

I've not been there yet but have also looked at both as potential areas to move to - I'm sure someone else will help you with that
Someone's far is another persons stones throw an all that.
Have you google mapped it? Just to give you an idea? if you put in North lakes QLD and then zoom out go to the directions bit and put in an area next to the coast you'll get an idea
Hope thats some help

I live on Mango Hill the AVJennings development and have been here for over five years, the area is great, but go on www.realestate.com.au and look at both places it also will give the places a rating and you can see peoples comments.
I personaly dont like North lakes, its called little brittan and is also know as Flag City by the real estate agents, as i said take a look at real estate and you will see why its called flag city, also its owned by stockland and they charge every single house that is built there extra charges on their rates , its so called to keep the place nice but i dont agree with them charging people to live on the estate when you can get very nice places that get looked after just as well but you dont get stung the extra charge, shame on you stockland
With living on mango hill im a lot closer to the shoping centre than a lot of north lakes as north lakes goes so far back and has so many round abouts and traffic lights
but im sure both have their pros and cons
google maps will also give you a great view of both areas
