I've noticed in a few department stores in Australia, signs saying 'Manchester'. Can anyone shine any light on this? I know Manchester as being large city in the North of England. I think it may be connected with bedding or material.

Yes MANCHESTER is bedding/towels.table linen etc, Duvets are Doonas, so you have doona sets!!
Which confused me as I am from Manchester!

Maybe the recipients didn't realise it meant from Manchester, and instead thought that the contents were called "Manchester"
