ie they are confused, not us.
We bought 2 adult and one infant ticket.
We`ve been trying to find out for over a week from them about upgrading the infant ticket to a child seat (pay an extra £236).
They`re confused because they think we may have to pay extra for the hotels we`ve booked for 2 weeks in Malaysia (through Malaysian Airlines), as the ticket will say child instead of infant, and we may have to pay child rates at the hotels... even though she`s still a 12 month old.
Freaky.
May find out one day from them what the deal is........
It`s an 11-hour flight from Heathrow to Malaysia, so I think we`ll just stick with the infant ticket and lose all the hassle of their confusion.

You may get lucky and get a seat anyway. When we flew to singapore we had to have our son on our knee, which have to admin was not great, but from then on we managed to get him a seat. From Singapore to Perth and the whole return journey the planes were not full and so we asked nicely if we could move to a space with 3 seats and it was no problem.

We could pay an extra £238 as they`ve eventually found out that we wouldn`t have to pay extra hotel fees, but we`ll stick with the infant ticket and I`ll have her on my lap and the bassinet for the long 11 hour flight.... it`s leaving at 7pm so she`ll probably sleep most of the way anyway.
We`ll have enough luggage to cart around without having to worry about carting a car-seat around as well.
So hopefully we`ll be lucky and get a spare seat anyway. Anyone else`s baby have the nasty addiction to chewing seat-belt metal btw???
