Talking Making your own spirits and beer?? :o)

Hi Guys n Gals

We are settling in well now. We like a few bevvies when we are not working. We have discovered a still for making alcohol. Available at local Home Brew shops but also on ebay - see number 6046961191.

Has anyone else had a go? I know it is illegal in the UK, but legal to own this equipment in QLD.

Any info appreciated.

My BiL has a superb setup at his house. He has a couple of kegs in the fridge (a lager and a bitter) and taps set into the fridge door itself. He makes up the two kegs every couple of weeks and enjoys dirt cheap booze. He was saying that you can do loads of spirits now - even bourbon, so I guess it isn't illegal in Oz.

It is not illegal to own the gear but it is illegal to make spirits

My hubby enjoys doing his home brew from the sets they sell though, I think that Tooheys Old is on the go at the mo

Ah right! Judging from some of his friends he introduced me to, I reckon a fair bit of it goes on though, lol...

Correct.

Beer is fine, but it's illegal to brew spirits.

My nephew has a still tucked away in his garage - boy does he churn out some firewater :scared: .
