Hi Berenice

Welcome to BE!

We live near joondalup (just to the North West in Kinross) and our son goes to Woodvale Secondary College. Very happy so far with the school, good discipline and great teachers. http://www.woodvale.wa.edu.au/

Woodvale is a public School but you will have to live in the catchment area or be lucky enough to get you child onto a specialist program if you live outside the catchment area. Woodvale programs are Academic Extension, Soccer, Basketball and Music (I think that is all).

A couple of Private schools in the area, Marta Dai College https://www.mdc.wa.edu.au/Pages/Home.aspx

Lake Joondalup Baptist College http://www.ljbc.wa.edu.au/
Don't know what your religious beliefs are????

St Stephens (Carramar campus)
http://www.ststephens.wa.edu.au/disc...ry-school.html

You can research schools here http://www.myschool.edu.au/

Just remember the golden rule, if you want your kids to go to a good public school, in most cases you will need to live in the catchment area, so choose where you live carefully.

Check house prices and areas here
www.realestate.com.au
www.reiwa.com.au

Use the "SEARCH" button at the top.... chances are you will find stuff.
Good luck.

Hi there and welcome :)

First off your starting point should be HERE to see if you qualify for a Visa.

Have a thorough read and for immigration questions probably best ask them in the seperate Immigration Forum

There's also a seperate Nursing Forum for questions regarding skills assessment and registration.

good luck :D

We have only both decided in the last few weeks that we are ready to up sticks to Oz.

Hi Berenice

I am going on a 457 visa sponsored by my hospital. I decided Melbourne because I wanted a city and there were jobs there. I felt pretty flexible so just went where i was told there were jobs, but i would have a look and see about expenses in different regions what fits for your circumstances.PM me if you want a few helpful websites.

Before you start looking at areas and schools you should be looking at applying for visas. www.immi.gov.au is where to start.
