Making friends - New to Sydney

Hi all. Not actually new to Sydney but been here 18 months and still not managed to make any friends due to work commitments and busy teenagers. Me and hubby looking for like minded people to share a few beers and enjoy all the wonderful things Sydney has to offer...We are early 50's but young at heart from West Yorkshire - Huddersfield!!!!! Would be great to meet up and meet some friendly, professionals who like a wine or two. Based in Alexandria

Tempted to agree with you

I'm not much use to you as I'm in Brisbane; there used to be a large group of (mainly) expats who met up regularly in Sydney but I don't think any of them use the forum now, which is a shame. Same for Brisbane, a lot of us made lasting friendships with other expats we met though BE meet-ups back in the day. More than one couple over the years has even married someone who they first met through this forum
