Has anyone had any problems with getting into OZ with M.E or Fibro on your medical... I've got Fibro, not caused me to have a day off but worried as it's about the only thing i can think that can stop us getting in...or can it??
Any advice greatly received.

Cheers all.

Hi
I also have ME/Fibro and panicked like mad about the medical. I've been off work for just over a year. I'm not the main applicant (hubby is). I took a letter from my GP explaining that I had the condition and that it was most likely triggered by a head injury that I sustained after being thrown from a horse and that it hadn't cost the NHS anything as I haven't rec'd any treatment. She also mentioned that I was recovering at a good rate on my own. The panel doc assured me that it wouldn't cause any problems, as the med officer in Oz wouldn't be concerned with the condition. He also said that it was definately worth including the GP letter.

He was right. Visas granted a few weeks after meds, no other info requested.

Don't panic, you should be fine. Probably worth getting your GP to write a letter, giving details.

Good luck, hope all goes smoothly

K on its way

Tracy
