Small world - I grew up in Doonan - down by the Lake on Eumerella Road. My parents still live there.

Noosa is very much still a tourist area but I loved growing up in the hills! We had a house on the front of a large lake and I spent my time fishing and sailing. Looking forward someday to getting back to it all.

I always thought that Buderim was for retirees :) Things may have changed - haven't lived in the area for 10 years at least.

Anyway - Gold Coast is a little do busy for me - but as I said I'm pretty biased growing up in Noosa. During the tourist season however I avoid Noosa and go to Peregian Beach usually - alot quieter normally - although I was up that way about 2 years ago and couldn't believe the changes.

Good luck with it all.

Goat.

Hi goat

Do you mean Lake weyba?
I think Buderim is not for retirees only anymore.
When we were over there we realy liked the look of Buderim.
We also like Noosa itself ,nice national park and beaches

Goldcoast is more busy but on the other hand has more facilities as we have 2 growing up children.
It is a hard decision.

I've been offered a job in both sunshine and goldcoast.
I am a master thatcher of profession www.rietdekkerbron.nl and both companies would like to help to set up a specialist market with me as it is nowhere seen in australia.
I think the goldcoast is much more going on so to start a business I would be maybe better of on the goldcoast?
However my wife likes sunshine coast more.
We have visited both places in 2007 and find it hard to make a decision.
We have two kids in the age of 3 and 6 years old.
Would like to hear your opinion about these 2 places for live and work.

Kind regards ,A dutch family :D

Business and Commercialism = Gold Coast
Lifestyle and Relaxation = Sunshine Coast

Which is more important to you?

I am biased, as I live on and LOVE the Sunshine Coast, the Gold Coast is a bit too busy and built up for me. Somewhere I would visit once every few months when I wanted to have an absolutely massive night out, but I would NEVER live there! I would visit both for at the very least 2 weeks each and see what you think. Good luck with whatever decision you make!

Hi Jamie

I would like to have it all :D

I see you live in Buderim.
How is life over there?
Like I mentioned before we liked the look of Buderim when we visited it back in 2007.
I am 39 years old at the moment so the nightlife is not that very important for me anymore, but will there be enough entertainment in the area for our kids when they become teenagers?

Why should you have one without the other? Don't get your statement there. We have a brilliant lifestyle and stacks of relaxation down here. What a strange comment

Hi all

Done some research on SC and GC places and picked a few out where we think we could find ourseleves to live.
These are also places where we could find some space ,1500 up 4000 square meters of land to set up our thatch business we have in mind and not for from the companies I could work for in the meantime.

SC 1 Buderim
2 Tewantin

GC 1 Mudgeeraba
2 Worongary
3 Helensvale
4 Coomera

Does anyone of you live in one of these places ,or could anyone tell us if these are nice places to live with enough facilities and good schools for children.
