Default LOTS OF MEETS EVERYWHERE...ANY IN PERTH ???

HI

We arrived in April ( husband and our 21 month daughter) and still struggling to meet people. We are really nice people - honest - just seems so hard to make friends. Any one know of any meets in and around Perth

Theres a meet every week at Hilarys Boat yard - Thursdays I think and also somewhere else on a Wednesday (can't remember the name) someone will be along soon to tell you.

Hope this helps.

Hillary's boat harbour Thursdays at 12. Ask at the counter for the English ladies and they'll point out the table to you. Tuesdays at the Boat in Mindarie. Same deal.
Don't be shy. The ladies who go are really friendly.

Hi everyone,

New to this site and have been reading all about you guys meeting at Hilarys in Perth.

We are trying for our visa at the mo to come live in Perth, we were thinking of the Joondalup area, could you let me know of any of the other suburbs close to Joondalup that you would recommend.

We are coming over on 8 December to spend 3 weeks in Joondalup, staying at my brother in laws house so we can go suburb hunting, hopefully for when we get the visa.

Are you all enjoying it over there and are you all glad you made the move.

Carramar is okay; it's a golf-course estate.

Less than 10 minutes from Joondalup and the beach if the lights on Wanneroo Road are on green!

Why not call one yourself? Kings Park is always a popular choice for those with young families. There are mid-week ones at Hilary's and Mindarie and the Poms In Perth website forum organises grown up ones in the city or Freo a lot.

Don't ask me to get involved. We tried 3 times in our first year and they all got rained off, even in the middle of summer.

I'd love to come, we arrived in Perth on 8th August and 2 weeks ago moved to Carramar, but so far haven't really met anybody. If this still happens on Thursdays that would be great.

Just 1 question though, aren't there a few restaurants/cafe's at Hillarys?

Thanks

Denise

Yes. When you go down Hepburn, go all the way to the end and stay to your left. You'll come to a roundabout where you can go to the restaurants and shops. There is a little cafe in there that opens to the outside.
A lot of the same women meet on Tuesdays at The Boat in Mindarie.

Denise, I've replied to your post on the update thread.
The cafe at Hilary's is the Quay cafe - it overlooks the harbour where the signposts are.
