Looking for short term accomodation in North West Brisbane.
Dear BE
We are looking for a very short term lease, say 1 month, in or around the suburbs of Albany Creek, Aspley or Bridgeman Downs.
We have been in touch with a caravan park in Aspley for short term accomodation but no such luck.
This is to tide us over while we locate a rental in this area. Any information or advice will be greatly received.
Cheers
Rich

Further to your enquiry there was a thread only this weekend about a possible rental available in the Albany Creek area.

Maybe this could be of assistance to you. Although I suspect you have already been there!

Rich, why not stay somewhere close to the city, lets face it Brisbane isnt very big really & its easy enough to drive from one area to another. Much better range of accommodation closer in which will give you more choice, especially at this late stage (arent you coming in a couple of weeks or something?). Any short term lets in the suburbs that are half decent will probably have been booked weeks or even months ago.
The only advantage of actually staying in the area I guess is that you will see what its like before you commit yourself to it, but I was under the impression that you had already pretty much set your hearts on that area anyway.

Can't sleep hence being on here plus I had to phone Aus.
The kids are set to start school on the 27th March which will give them 2 weeks in school before the Easter holidays begin, thought it would be nice to get them in and into some sort of routine as opposed to arriving, having 2 weeks off, then another 2 weeks Easter hols off, they'd never want to go to school!
Now, the thing with being closer to the City is the travelling time to school etc.., Lynn has a job starting on the 28th March and it's not far from AC.
So it's really best to find somewhere as close to AC as possible.
I'm actually really annoyed with myself for not having a backup plan incase our offer of the other accomodation fell through, which it did.
Any suggestions from anyone, will be greatly received.

By the time you get here it will be lovely weather .
I'll keep an ear & eye out for somewhere for you on the northside, we have had someone at our place currently wanting to move out early (they have decided they want to move to the Gold Coast), but it's not the norm for people to have vacancies at this late stage unless there has been a cancellation - it's alot harder to get somewhere at the last minute, that's for certain.

Have you tried www.brisbanebound.com ? They have a house on the northside at Ascot or somewhere near the airport, chances arent good as they are usually booked like us, but it's always worth an email to check.
