looking for friends from 30 years ago
I know this is a real long shot but i'm hoping to trace some friends of my parents from over 30 years ago. There names are Dave & Shirley Gardner and they used to live in Hillman,W.A. They had 3 daughters, one of which sadly was sadly killed in a car crash in he early 80's. Also a son whose name i think was Kerry. I have tried white pages but no luck on there. Is there any thing else i can check.
Keeping my fingers crossed,
Thanks Dean

So what sort of ages would they be now and what sort of thing did they do ie for a living or socially?
There is a K Gardner listed in the white pages at Rockingham, just 3 minutes down the road from Hillman.

A few ideas:
I'm assuming you've googled them?
Try Facebook (some of their kids might be on there)?
Search white pages for surrounding areas?
Also - if you do a search there are Australian based websites for those looking for missing rellies/friends etc?
Friends Reunited has an Australian site - think it's schoolfriends.com.au or something similar. You could try a search for them or their kids.
Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. The parents would be in there late 60's and the "children" around the early to mid 40's. We all went out as the "10 pound poms". I did try friends reunited which actually helped me find some of my old school mates from 74. I will try some of the other suggestions and see what happens.
I got the surname wrong slightly,it may be Gardiner.

Just a quick update.I contacted the national library of Australia who checked the electoral role and hopefully found who i was looking for. It seems they haven't moved far from where we last knew them,Hillman to Warnbro W.A. The only problem i have now is they are either phone less or ex directory so i'm going to have to post a letter to them.Hers keeping fingers crossed.
