Looking at flights - interesting ...
 

Hi all,

Just looking at flights with Singapore Airlines and found out the following...

We have to enter oz by 13th July (hopefully will sell house before then!) but Mark wants to come back for his friend's wedding on 5th Aug.

1st Option

Book 3 single flights (2 adults, 1 child) to Perth in June stopping in Singapore for 3 nights total £1063.

Then book Mark a return flight Perth-London for 1 week on 31st July total $2431.80 (about £980)

SO - total cost for all is £2043

2nd Option

Book 1 return flight for Mark from London-Perth going in June, returning for wedding £595.80 Then book him a single back to Perth in August £478.10.

Book single flights for me and Flynn going to Perth in June (same flight as Mark) £683. Total cost of all flights £1756.90

So the saving on booking a return from here for Mark is £286. I had heard before that it's more expensive to book from Oz-UK but didn't think it would make that much difference. How wrong I was !

Probably totally useless info for you lot, but I thought it was interesting !!

Please see my thread earlier today... I think buying returns with 12 month open end might be a great idea... if intending to come back for hols..!!
