Looking for advice for family of 4
Hi
I'm looking for some advice on what part of Australia to move to. Good schools not to far from a city plus one of my daughter is a figure skater here on Scotland so we need a rink as well we are just thinking about this so just looking into it to see if it would work i.e jobs schools buying a house any advice is grateful |
Re: Looking for advice for family of 4
Firstly you need to check you qualify for a visa. All other questions are moot until such time. Give a bit more info - your ages, jobs and qualifications and I'm sure our Oz people will be along with succinct info!

As others have said, you need to see if you qualify for a visa first.
In order to assist you with that, we would need to know the following: Ages of all in family - reason, there are age limits on visas Occupations of parents - visas are occupation based Qualifications and time in occupation - you need the appropriate skills and this can be different to the UK Any health issues - This can cause major issues Any issues with criminal records - Again, can cause issues |

And Australia isn't really known for its figure skating talent if you were looking for high flying coaching and competition. |
Re: Looking for advice for family of 4
Central Coast is not to far from a city ( Sydney and Newcastle both 1.5hrs away, which is quite close in Australian terms ) has a skating rink and lots of good schools. It seems to attract UK migrants and has a good beach and country lifestyle. As others have said, maybe sort out the visa situation first if you havn't already.

I'd recommend somewhere in the south of England! Warmer, Dryer, Close to Europe for holidays, and best of all 10,000 miles from Australia!

If you're quick, there's an ice rink open for the next month or so at this shopping centre in Ringwood:
No Cookies | Herald Sun I went past one day last week and hardly anyone was using it. |
