Look Out OZ Here We Come

Hi All,

We have had an e-mail from our agent this morning saying that our application has been approved. Applied January 2001 to London. Things are moving folks, Yipee I am off to open that nice bottle of sparkling Jacobs Creek that has been chilling in the fridge all day ready for hubby coming home tonight. Thought I had better write this whilst I am still able!!!!!!!!

Good Luck everybody we are at last on our way

Well done Susan, 'bout time eh'. We're hoping to be in Bris before the end of the British summer, maybe we'll see you over there, going to keep on the list when we arrive.

Chris.

Now the day time temps are only 26 or 27 c Brisbane has entered winter. You can tell
because there are TV adverts for wood burning stoves, and the shops are full of
winter woolens. I must admit its surprising how fast your blood thins, it was cloudy
this morning and only 26c and it felt cold. lol

Hi susan

What else can I say except CONGRATS!!!.

Doesn't it feel great!

We're loving every minute of our holiday in Perth. It's just a shame we have to come back to UK for our PR Visa.

Bye for now

Claire

Hi, just registered today but wanted to congratulate you. Hope you still check messages now that you are on your way. We are off to Brisbane next Friday to look out jobs and places to live. Hope to be emigrating later this year applied March 2001 so still waiting but good news about the waiting times. Would love to keep in touch and maybe meet up once we are out there too. Re: Look Out OZ Here We Come

And the day-time temperature here in Brisbane gets down to 19-20 C by July but as the
sun is nearly always shining it never feels that cold during the day (certainly in
your first year of coming to Bris.), but depending on where you live the night-time
temperatures can dip down to 5 C (and lower!) at night. There is virtually no
insulation in the houses (esp. the older ones) so bring some of your warm clothes
like sweaters etc. with you (don't bring the really warm ones unless you intend to go
Skiing). Brrrr...

Good luck - Australia and Brisbane especially really is a beautiful place to
live, Andrew

P.S. Sometimes in summer it's 40+ C and very humid so be prepared!

To everyone heading to Brisbane, hope to see you there - we are just applying for a spouse sponsored visa - hoping to be in Brissie by Christmas.

Maybe we could get a reunion going (even though I suspect mist of us have never met)!

Congrats Susan - I can't wait to get that news!

Mark & Kelly
