Default Long Weekend!

Apart from avoiding the fines for the double demerit weekend - what have others got planned!

I need to do some work catch up but also got friends coming Sat for dinner. Boy I wish it would cheer up here in Sydney. I fancy curing my planned hangover in the sun and it looks miserable at the moment.

Cheers Sandra

Big weekend/week, driving to Sydney late this afternnoon (Take 6 hour shifts of sleep/driving each ) :scared: Would prefer flight but want to stop in Coffs on way back to see friends. Wedding on Saturday, nice posh one so I can dress up for once which is excitement in itself. Sunday/Monday we have to do the tour of Husbands oldest and dearest rellies, most live way out in the burbies so more driving. Then heading out west a bit to take in another Family member. They have a 2 zillion acre cattle farm so great amsusement from people as I encounter cows, milking, flies and dust for two days. Then finally my piccy taken at the big banana on the way home not.

I didn't, we don't celebrate most of the public holidays at the Uni.

But we do get them in lieu over Christmas, which is nice...

My hubby works in car sales - so no weekend either - he gets some of the holidays back, about half of them, but trouble is not at Christmas, usually on a Wednesday and Thursday. I thought the holidays at UNIs are pretty good - or are you IT contracting?

Cheers

Labour Day - introduction of the 40 hour week!

Just wish either hubby or I could work one of those! .

They seem to be different days for different states. Something else funny - it has just started to rain. In fact it has rained here every day since they introduced the water bans on sprinklers and hosing paths etc.

I am in a grotty mood, cannot persuade hubby to join me for a quick one as we have to go shopping after work....

nearly clocking off time

Cheers
