Hi dom2000nic.

To be clear. Wendy Home is your birth Mum. Robin Nunn is not your Dad?

Also, did they emigrate to NZ or were/are they NZers ?

Approx ages would help also.

We will all try to help if we can. No promises though.

Are you aware that the Salvation Army has a family tracing service. ( click the link).
I've had to use this service to trace my brother ----twice ! They will not give you the person's details though. They will leave it up to the person to make contact if they wish.

For everyone else. I have run this past BE admin and it is fine.

Do you know where she emigrated to - ie the town? What's her DOB?

Hi Dom.

I'm originally from Bournemouth also. Still have friends there.

Does your birth Mum have any middle names please?

Hi. Her full name was Wendy Georgina Lynne Home. Maiden name Cutler.

re: long lost family - possibly in Perth

In 1978 she was living with her husband per the electoral for Te Atatu which is near Henderson I believe.

Neither of them appear on the 1981 NZ electoral rolls.

A Robin Nunn does not appear on the New Zealand electoral rolls for either of those years 1978 or 1981 which would indicate that he was not an NZ resident. Whereas the Home's were.

Hi, don't know how helpful this is, but a person by the name of Wendy G L Cutter married a man with the surname of [I]HOLME[I] in Poole, Dorset in 1965, according to Ancestry.com.

I also had a looked at the New Zealand electoral rolls under Wendy Holme, but didn't find anything. I only found what Bevs found, which is the listing under the surname HOME.

I couldn't find anything further, apart from Wendy Cutter's birth register listing.

True. She may well not be interested at all in being found.

Or she may not know she is being searched for , despite Salvation Army.

Or feel too ashamed to make any contact.

Or not wish to disrupt lives.

She may have a new family who do not know about the old family.

Have been forbidden by her ex husband to make any contact.

Been watching from afar.

Or sadly, deceased.

So many reasons.

I don't know if it's still running but have you tried that TV programme, Long Lost Family? Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

I wonder whether it's worth extending your search to Australia, assuming you haven't already. Good luck with your searches - let us know how you get on.

Not any potential candidates in the New Zealand white pages?

Google turns up no clues? That legacy.com site?

There may be one possible viable contact in the NZ white pages.

Of course it is possible the actual man & woman in question did move onto Australia , or back to the UK.

It has to be worth a try in a small country like this.

Worth checking other public records as well. Also ex-employers, I'm sure given the situation they could ask a few old timers and see if anyone could pass on a letter (obviously they are going to be guarded on privacy and not share information).

I'm thinking so too. I just wanted to check summat first.

edit here.....

Actually thank you Charismatic. As it was you that posted, it prompted me to rethink how to access a certain piece of public record * So, I thought a little outside of the box as it were.

* Not all libraries and depositories hold nationwide records. Some only have local or area specific records.

I have confirmation now and so will pass this on to Dominic.

Note: This is not a direct contact to those named above but I am hoping that this person will be amenable to sharing any information they may have.

Hopefully it works out or you'll have to go a new direction.

Chances are anyone who lives here banks with one of the big four, they'd probably post on a letter as well.

There is no Wendy Home or Wendy Nunn in Willetton, however White Pages does show a W & C Cutler in Brentwood which isn't far from Willetton.
