Lonely in Redland Bay
 

Hi we are a family of 4 who have just moved to Redland Bay 3 weeks ago. We have 2 small girls 7 and 4. My husband has a sponsership and is a carpet fitter.
We would love to meet some familys from Bayside for some meetups at weekends etc as we are begiing to feel really homesick.
We have also heard there is a english footie team on Redlands but not sure where.

I know what you mean, been here 4 years and still a bit homesick, i work full-time so its so hard for me to meet people apart from the people i work with.
I live in Mt Cotton and have 2 boys 3 & 18 Months and would love to meet up one weekend.

Pattons, the Butchers in Victoria Point, has a great offer on Eye Fillet steak at the moment, and it is really tender :thumbup:

Sounds like it is about time someone organised another proper Brisbane Bayside meet up...

I think there are a fair few football teams. We play 5 a side monday nights at YMCA vicky point, there's another league at the Sleeman centre on Fridays I think, and another league at redlands united.

That's an idea. I wonder how many would turn up, now that the area is even more popular...

I was just looking for when I did that, and came across this thread http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=278044 in 2005. Interesting but it didn't have details of when everyone came round, but I think it was over 50 people.

Would love to get together soon, I am having to use library internet as mine has a virus but should be sorted next week. I can give you my number if you are free for a chat. Three posts to PM. Also the mods will remove her number if they see it, so best to edit it out. If she makes one more post she can use the private messages so should be able to do it soon enough.

Angela hun, I've reported your post to the mods......not because it's bad or anything, but because if your number stays up there you are going to get calls from all the wierd and wonderful!!! Hopefully they will edit it out for you.
