london skilled independants move

Hi all ,
Just a quick note to say we've just got the letter from london ahc confirming that our july 2001 application is being moved to adelaide, and in what looks like a standard letter there still quoting 20 months.
We were hoping(lost cause there)that front loading might have kept us at london.
OOOOhhh well never mind, just nice to get a bit of excitement after just over 15 months.
(got a bit excited when I saw the Australia House stamp on the front)

Hi all.......

We got a letter today as well from London AHC
telling us that our July 2001 application is being
moved to Adelaide.

We have police checks & medicals ready to send.
The letter states that all future correspondence
should be sent to Adelaide. This being the case,
we will put off sending them until it's confirmed
that the London applications have arrived in Oz.
Don't want them getting separated from the main
application.

Does anyone know yet if the transfer is going as
air freight, or surface mail?

Cheers...... Johnno........

not sure if thats good or bad at this stay.

Good Luck

G'day sunseekers and others,

I also had the heart stopping experience of receiving mail from AHC this
morning. It was also saying they had forwarded our application to Adelaide.
I'm just getting the police checks tomorrow, so hopefully by the time they
are returned, Adelaide will have the application handy.

I got a bit flustered and was worried that they were going to say on yer
bike love. I knew it was too soon for medicals requests as we applied in
July 2001, and as far as I know they are still on May 2001.

Oh, well. Life goes on.

Cheers

Heidi

Hello all

We are 10th May 2001 and haven't heard a thing from AHC - I presume
this means that we'll be staying in London. Have recently sent in new
police checks but are waiting to hear from them before getting the
medicals done. I've got visions of a big pile of outstanding post
being sent over to Adelaide and our police checks are somewhere among
them - haystack & needle come to mind !!

Oh well, it cannot be long now, I might just risk their wrath and give
AHC a ring to see whats going on !!

Cheers
Mandy

Hi Mandy

I phoned AHC on Wednesday and they are back in the swing of processing and she said they were on May 11th so you should be hearing any second- you lucky devils!

Give them a call- cant hurt can it!

Cheers

Hi,We have been told to hold tight with our medicals etc because the file no`s etc in adelaide are different to london. My agent has told us to wait until he is contacted with new file no`s or told that london file no`s will be kept the same

WARDY Oct 25th 2002 2:53 pm

The file number stays the same, as far as I can see. The letter from AHC has my file number on it and there is no mention of any other number. I am not using an agent, so I have received the letter direct from AHC.
Hope that helps
Caryn
