Locations of Hospitals & Prisons?
Hi everyone, have started the migration process. I'm an RMN and hubby a prison officer. We would ideally like to live Mand/Rockingham area and anxious to find out the nearest hosps and prison around that area. Would think about any location really as long as we both had jobs that were not too far away! Any help would be so greatly appreciated.......Thanks

I believe the Causarina maximum security Prison is between Rockingham and Pert and as an RMN you will have your pick of work but do be choosy... works a bit different from the UK as far as psychiatric nursing goes.

I do know the Prison near us is looking for staff and i am a manager in a unit looking for psych nurses.... in queensland however!!

Hi we are in Rockingham, as a nurse you can go into the prisons as well as they use Bell Agency and pay top dollar. They have been advertising recently. Casuarina and canningvale are max security and there are a few others not too far away, juvenile and womens. Rockingham is a good base for you as Casa is about 20 minutes for your husband (or 10 if he drives it like my husband). And Rockingham Kwinana district hospital is about 5 minutes and Coastal Private the same, Peel District hospital is 30 minutes away in Mandurah, but from Rockingham you will be going against the traffic, or Fremantle is 35 minutes away. There is Silver Chain (District Nurses), and now the new H.I.T.H, Hospital In The Home where they will require even more nurses, so the world is your oyster...
