We find it to be much more expensive than our uk bills so be prepared.

Rent: forthnightly , ours is 1140.00
Electric: quarterly -> 225 (for 92 days) so about 3 dollars a day
Gas: quarterly -> 105 (for 96 days) so just over 1 dollar a day
Water only pay rates if you own, otherwise ours is 30 per Qtr
Home phone: 90 per month (included one or two international calls)
mobile phone: 100 per month
Broadband: 69.99 per month
House ins: 459 per annum, about 41.99 per month
Car ins: 650 per annum
Council Tax not applicable, Rates are 890 per annum for our house in Adelaide (we rent in Syd)

Land Tax on investment property: 650 per annum
Childcare (per hr if easier) : 90 - 110 per hour (not kidding!)
