Living close to our designated area sponsor
Hi
We are presently applying for our 139 Visa. If successful I believe you have to live near your sponsor for 2 years - is that correct? May seem a stupid question, but how close do we have to live - within the same zip/postal code? Town, suburb?
My brother lives in Caboolture and I've been looking at surrounding areas within 20-25 minute radius from Caboolture (but still outside of Brisbane). Is this too far?

I am also waiting on a 139 as far as I know the 2 year living near your sponsor rule doesn't come into effect until after July this year, so as long as you have your application in by then you should be able to go where you like.

PS: I'm putting my house up for sale next week, even though I have only just sent my Visa off I don't want to take the risk of not being able to sell my home in time. Even if I'm not successful I can always find another house!!
