Liver
Hi,
Silly question but is liver widely available in Australia. Can't remember ever seeing but as its one of my favourite peasant meals just wondered if I'd have to give up on it? I understand why people might think its the spunk of the devil but I'd take liver bacon and onions over fois gras any day ( even if it doesn't cOme with proper bisto gravy )

Oh dear God!
Am having horrific flashback to childhood. Mum has served up liver and bacon casserole and there is a vein running through the liver.
Excuse me whilst I am a little bit sick in my mouth

Re: Liver
Lambfry available in our Woollies.
A delicious recipe:
Fry sliced onions for 2 minutes. Remove from pan.
Cut liver into slices, dust in flour. Fry for 2 minutes, return onions to pan, fry for 2 more. Sprinkle with parsley. Eat.

My father was a £10 Pom.
During his early days in Adelaide, he picked up some liver from the butcher's counter in the supermarket. It was the cheapest meat he could find (and I use the word 'meat' in its loosest possible sense).
The checkout chick asked him if he had a cat.
He said 'No', so she asked him what he needed the liver for.
He spent the next few minutes trying to convince her that he intended to eat it.

Re: Liver
I ate kangaroo for the first time recently.
To me it tasted more like liver, than steak which it looks like.
Plus it was quite stringy, and chewy, but I probably cooked it wrong. Grilled, plain with a bit of sea salt.

Re: Liver
You have to cook it on a high heat to kill all the worms.
