hello everyone it has been a while, i am still waiting for visa to arrive and it is driving me crazy. My friend asked me today if they do a credit check as part of the visa application , i did not know the answer but can anyone help

I have read a few threads on here about that and I believe the answer is no, If you do a search on debt and credit checks you will find what people say

No - there is no credit check. Your credit history in the UK is irrelevant. Your credit will start at zero in Australia anyway! Your not asked for any such details when making an application.

But if there planning on leaving a load of debt, then tell them they can be caught. A woman answered a newspaper appeal saying a close friend was trying to contact her and when she rang th number it was a debt collection agencey, she had to pay it all back
