Default Little Mountain/ Mountain Creek....anybody have advice on these areas?

Hi,

We have been looking at little mountain and mountain creek and they look very nice. Does anybody know anything about the areas i.e schools, shops etc..? They have some fab houses at good prices, not to far from the beach.
Any info would be appreciated

Hi Helena,

We are heading to Mountain Creek way later this year, we visited the area and the school two years ago, lovely place, the school (Mountain Creek) has an excellent reputation, property in this area is quiet expensive.

There are plenty of people who live in the area on this forum, so I'm sure you will get more info from them.

Good luck

Sally

Thanks Sally. Are you guys going for good this year? What would you consider expensive? Little mountain had new houses fully furnished for mid $400,000...I thought that was a great price. Mountain Creek looks really nice as well with some nice houses for sale.

Hi Helena, yes hopefully for good!!! Depends of size of house I suppose, we are a family of five, 3 kids of 8, 6 and 4. we would need a 4 bedder with pool and a little garden for kids to run around, we're looking at $500-550, whereas couple of years ago that figure was $100 less. Never looked at Little Mountain, will have a nosey.

Have you got a visa? Been to Oz before?

Also meant to say, there is a great shopping centre with nice coffee shops on the water called The Sunshine Plaza, had a browse and sat and had coffee whilst the kids watched the fish in the water! There is a cinema there to with a few screens.

Hi Sally, we would be looking for the same type of house, it will have to have a pool . We have 2 kids, Lauren will be 8 in April and Daniel will be 5 in May. Our agent lodged our application Dec 20th so we are just waiting now. Doubt if we will get a case officer before the end of April No, we have not been to OZ before. I have a brother who lived in Perth for 15 years but has moved to the Sunshine Coast (Nambour) a couple of years ago. Little Mountain has some great houses and they are near shops and schools....only 15 mins from Kings Beach and Dicky beach...

Went to both those beaches during our stay. We stayed in Maroochydore for 2 weeks during our validation trip, although MC is our first choice we are keeping options open, even might build our own in nearby area. We will rent for a bit as we are keeping house on here for a year, so will have a good look around and consider our options.

Good luck with everything.
