Hi all,

Wonder if anyone can answer a little question, moved here last year on a 457 visa, now been here a year was wondering how a company go about sponsoring for ens, my husband says they can;t as his job is not the the skilled list, he works offshore on the rigs, but don't want when the 4 years is up to get turfed out, anybody know, we are in a debate, i say that his work can sponsor us and he says they can't, i think i am right like.

Cheers

I am no expert but was on a 457 and the employer converted to ENS. As far as I know, to get the 457 in the first place the job has to be on the list. So I reckon your employer can sponsor you - if they want to! Maybe ask the same on the immi forum.
