Default Literacy Assessment

Can anyone please tell me where I can find details of the Surge system of Literacy Assessment? This apparently is a form of assessment which, at my children's school, is administered by the Getting it Right Literacy specialist.
Thanks.

It may no longer be available, as all states moved testing to the NAPLAN system in 2008

WA Naplan page http://www.det.wa.edu.au/education/naplan/

The Getting it Right webpage http://www.det.wa.edu.au/education/c...lum/ln/gir.htm quotes the WALNA tests which have been replaced by NAPLAN

My son's assessment was only carried out a couple of weeks ago using this system, even though he sat NAPLAN in May, so it's still being used here in WA.
