List of things to do before going
Someone put a good list of all the things to do before you go
e.g. notify gas, get oz bank account etc and I can't find it again. Does anyone know who wrote it or about what date

Pay off debts
Sell car
Sort shipping company
Refs from banks (you will need proof that you are good payers)
Refs from employers
Stop Cable
Stop Council tax
Stop House insurance
Stop Electric Gas, Water, Phone
Cancel milk/papers
get refund from Tv Licence
Stop standing orders/direct debits
Change addresses with bank
Book Flights
Cancel mobile phone contract
Proof no claims bonus. all insurances
Convert dosh?
Get hotmail address
Stop car insurance and get rebate
Contact tax office for a rebate
Register with as many job agencies as possible
Redirect mail
Get copy of your medical records from doctor
Get sufficient medications/contact lenses
Book Temp accommodation for arrival
Turn off Gas/Elec/Water before you go
Possibly get refund from Council Tax Office, (Makes a change!)
Tie up and gag the kids
