List of Documents that need certifying?
Hi,
I'm new to this forum so 'hello' first of all.
My family and I are planning to emigrate to Oz and my husband qualifies on points as a motor mechanic.
So, judging by what I've read on here and other sites - the first step is to get a skills assessment?
What I would like to know is exactly what documents I need to get certified and how many copies of each I will need. Also, is it just my husbands documents that are required or will we need copies of my and the kids passports and birth certificates?
Any help you could give me would be gratefully appreciated!

Hello and welcome to the nut house 
Like Steve said the best place to start is the TRA website. You will need various copies of all sorts of documents through out the process, but for the TRA you just need your hubby's.
For the main visa application you will need copies for everyone. It's best to get about 3 or 4 copies of everything.

Also, once you have a list of things to get certified, get all the copies together and get everything certified at the one time ( including enough passport photos each ) That was you'll save a fortune! Unlike myself who's had to go back 3 times for certifying things at £30 a time!! So I ended up paying £90 when it could've cost me £30.

Thanks for your help so far guys - I like the friendly feeling on this forum.What I would really like someone to do for me (pretty, pretty, please) is write a list of all the documents we will need and how many copies of each is needed.
I hope this isn't asking too much?

It's a tricky one coz everyone is so different. But - being a risk taker I'll start off the provisional list. If anyone can add to it, fill your boots.
Birth Certificates for each person - 3/4 copies of each cert.
Marraige Cert - 3/4 copies
Skills Assessment - 3/4 copies
Work References - 3/4 copies
Educational Qualifications/Trade Certificates - 3/4 copies
Registrations with any proffessional bodies - 3/4 copies
Passport photos ( 4 for each member aplying, plus one for medical form and one for xray form, all certified )
Passport pages with any stamps on them - 3/4 copies of each page
