Has anyone got a link to the QLD transport site so that I can find out if I got to resit my driving AND theory test!

I have been driving for 5 months - this will equate to 7 months driving once in Oz.

ANY HELP IS VERY GOOD!!!

Anthony, it is not clear from the QLD transport site (which is badly organised and difficult to navigate). If you send an e-mail to the following address, however, they will answer your question directly, usually within 24 hours.

Because you have a full UK driving licence I think you'll be okay and just need to take the written test - best to contact QLD transport when you arrive to confirm.

I emailed QLD transport and they have told me the following (incase anyone else is in same 'boat' )

1. Upon arrival can drive on UK license for 3months.
2. Change over after 3 months to QLD license
- take passport / proof of residing in QLD
3. Take written test comprising of 30 questions
- Costs $15 (how cheap)
- No need to book it - just walk into office!
- book available 'Your keys to driving in Queensland'
- Book costs $9.75 (i think)!
