We are in Melb. Have looked at and got quote for 8x4 concrete with liner pool from Albatross Pools. They come highly recommended and I have seen one of their recent jobs and it is stunning.
Apparently the concept comes from North America. The pool on Hayman Island is an example.

We have a 8 x 4 pool. Fantastic, very easy to maintain and cost effective.

Albatross have a great display centre at Warrandyte (6 or more mini pools) - know this is not in your direction but may be worth the trip. Alternatively they have an office in Dandenong - don't know whether they have display pools tho.

What sort of dimensions are you talking about?
