licenses for driving a motorbike
 
anyone know if you pass your motorbike license in oz will it count in england and the rest oif the world. just seems easier to pass here and cheaper always wanted a motorbike, has anyone done there motorbike license in oz?

My dh got his motorbike licence in Oz and it was valid in Uk, just needed to exchange licence for UK one :)

ahh gr8 did he doit in qld. i reckon if that is the case imight just do it was it easierin oz? thanks

My dh did his test in Vic, it was v cheap compared to Uk. No idea if QLD's the same tho :/

UK test fees are Theory £31, module 1 £15.50 and module 2 £75. You'd also need a CBT (approx £100) but that depends on which trainer you use. The above can be done on a 500cc bike if you're over 21 and that gives you a Full Unrestricted A1 licence. You'll also need bike hire so it's cheaper in Oz - one for another thread ;)

Just did mine in UK but as over 21 and on a 500cc (direct access scheme) I got a full unrestricted licence so none of this R-dated tosh for me :D

From 19.01.2013 there will be major changes to driving licence rules in the UK and the EU and for direct access you have to be at least 24:
