Yes a weekend would be much better... 
but i need to know at least 2 weeks before the event, so i dont book any flying lessons since my only chance to fly is at weekends because i work/study monday to friday.

No family there... Just 1 friend who lives in Brisbane... Scary i know specially for someone young like me... it's a challenge and i look forward to it. But a few expats have promissed a
when i arrive early Jan for a holiday

Hi claire, neither can i,it will be good to meet up with everyone again and some new faces as well ,GGGRRREAT.would you know of any bd and breakfast places near there at a reasonable price,we would like to stay over then we wont have to rush off.

What about the 18 and 19th then are those dates ok for everyone, if you cant make saturday maybe you can make sunday, let us know.

Those dates are good for Iain and myself, just need someone pick hotel/pub and we will see you in the bar!!
