leaving the country to get the visa
Hi everyone,
Would appreciate your help on this one:
I am onshore but applying for an offshore visa. It is said that I can apply onshore but I need to be offshore when the visa is granted. Does anyone know how does it work?
Will I get any notice from DIMIA advising me that the visa is on the way and that I need to leave the country? And where do I get the visa? I mean, where do I take my passport to, to have my visa granted?
Any help is much appreciated.
Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs.

The key thing to remember is that you have to leave Australia whilst a decision is made on whether to grant you a visa.
