Aussie fans pledge allegiance to The Force

Australia has become the latest country where fans of "Star Wars" are causing problems for the Bureau of Statistics: over 70,000 fans put down their religion as "Jedi" in last year‘s national census. Despite this response to an email campaign which told fans that if more than 10,000 of them declared their faith to the force the government would be forced to recognise it as a religion, things have not turned out that way, in fact the bureau has said that respondents may face a fine of 1,000 Australian for providing false information!
