Sitting here in work one last time, today my last day, so this could be my last post on BE from work.

Things really are close now, my wife is also on her last day and our daughter has her final GCSE exam. This time next week we will be through our first day in Brisbane!

Wow what a feeling that must be!!! No more responsibilites in your job, you're a free person until you land your new job. I can't wait for that feeling.............when a problem at work will be someone elses problem!!

We are in the same position. Sitting in my wife's parents house in Dubai. Left my job last Sunday, sat here unemployed and homeless in 45 degrees :scared: . 2 kids to support and all we have is whats in our cases. We are staying here for 4 weeks before we fly off to our new life in Brisbane
Last few days at work was weird, no motivation to get up let alone work. Can't really believe its all happening. Keep thinking can't wait to tell the lads at work about this and that, then realise there are no lads at work, there is no work :scared:

Looking forward now to arriving an Aus on July 5th.

Thanks guys and gals, I'm sure all will work out.

The guys here at work have something organised for this afternoon, but its being kept a secret suprise thing... I have got hold of a scent though and have organised my leaving speech accordingly.

Although my job depressed me quite regularly I will miss the money,security and pension. No skill to x-fer to OZ soon lower end of job pile, not to worry.

Well I am at home now and there was no big suprise, just a quiet meal with the four of us, so no need to use the speech. My boss did get me a nice pressie though. Working in the advertising and design industry, they made me a massive leaving card with the text on front reading as an advert ' TODAY ONLY - $1,000 of cold beer vouchers to help start your new lifestyle'. The inside is signed by clients and suppliers and mounted onto the other side A$1,000.

Wahey I'm rich! The drinks are on me, but only when I arrive in Oz.

I'm off out again now to join Mrs Manxfamilies leaving do.
