What's with the shouting?

I had my eyes done by www.centreforsight.com about 5 years ago. A guy called "Sheraz Daya" - he was one of the first to do LASIK in the UK I think. Cost me £1500 per eye, but he knew his stuff. In fact, there was a Watchdog article about Boots the Chemist, and my surgeon was wheeled out as the expert to say how it should be handled!

My wife had her eyes done by him too. I expect it'll be cheaper these days, but it was worth the money. Not a single problem since.

His blatant advertising is against forum rules.

gld,

I notice that you haven't observed normal decorum when writing replies in this forum, so please allow me to introduce to you the art of writing disclaimers.

1. Use "sentence caps". This means the first letter of the sentence should be capitalized, the others should be small letters unless it's a name or abbreviation.

2. Disclaimers are normally placed at the bottom of each message.

3. Disclaimers may usually be in smaller fonts than regular sentences, especially so if the disclaimer is as long as yours.

This forum's tolerance for advertisement is rather low, and your disclaimer smacks of commercialism as much as it smacks of rudeness (typing in all caps is extremely rude in the online world, if you don't already know).

The readers of this forum would appreciate it if you could oblige us by altering your highly visible disclaimer in your future posts.

Thank you.

Don't you think some opticians might advise against the procedure because of future lack of business? I was concerned cos I couldn't go back to contact lenses if it didn't work. (I was really happy with the feel of lenses).

I don't actually need contact lenses or glasses since Lasik but there would be nothing to stop me wearing them if I felt the need to be green or orange eyed some day. Same with cataracts - if you need them fixing it can still be done. You only live once.

if you actually write a considered response, tailored to the question and *then* subtley show your office and contact details then you will be treated like many of the other welcome, and useful agents like Allan Collet, GoMaltida etc

Had mine done at Boots 18 months ago and service and expertise was fantastic. South Africa seems to be the world leader in Lasik.

Friends mum had hers done in South Australia and it's really changed her life. For me there's nothing worse than going to the beach or pool and not being able to see how beautiful it is.

That is how much I rate their web site. The only info it offers is how to give your details to them so they can sell their services. They also seem very keen to sell your endowments.
