Land Transfer Registration Tax NSW
I'm confused...if I am buying a house in NSW do I have to pay Land TRansfer Registration tax?
http://www.osr.nsw.gov.au/taxes/transfer_land/rates/
It says on this money buddy website that I would have to pay it and also stamp duty (unless I'm a first time buyer)

but I'd never heard of it before.

We had to pay some additional registration fees as well as the stamp duty but it was only a couple of hundred dollars. There are also things like $75 for each mortgage the vendor has on the property

the fees I'm looking at are $8990 plus 4.5% of the excess over $300,000
