Default LAFHA

Hello
Please can someone explain this LAFHA. I was told that if you are applying for 457 you would be entitled to it. Then someone else mentioned in a thread that you only qualify for it if you're job requires you to work away from home for periods of time.
Is there anything we are entitled to as 457 holders?

You are entitled to it on a 457. You're only here temporarily on that visa so you ARE working away from home. Australians who are working away from home - whether it's the next state or overseas - can also get it.

However you'll only get it, if your employer is prepared to do the paperwork involved.
