Depends where you go; it seemed pretty popular in Western Australia, as far as I could tell.

There are quite a lot of centres. Seem to do a lot of Japanese rather than English.

A friend who runs our local centre (I used to help out) tried to get me to open up a centre as a way of making money, but I would need someone to teach me how to do maths before teaching anyone else

I am seriously considering it for our 2 as there are quite a few Montessori Schools where we are headed for - anybody have any thoughts?

Personally not over impressed with what I've seen here. But that is just a few families. Hot house and forcing unnecessarily at a young age. I wanted my children to be children. It might just be the sort of children these ones are though. Hard to tell.

It's another one of those very personal decisions I think.

I don't really know anything about it but I saw a load of posters for Kumon Maths in a community centre in Elwood, Melbourne today. As I was looking at them I thought, 'What the hell is that', and then I see a thread on BE....spooky :scared:
