Koalas
Umm..please dont laugh at my question. :)
Whilst taking to a coleague at work tis evening, she mentioned koala bears. (yes i know they arent really bears) Se told me NOT to go near the as they ave sexually transmitted diseases....LMAO i am sure she is pulling my leg, but she swears she isn't. Does anyone know if they do?? BTW.... if it is true, te mind boggles as to how tey got tem in te first place!!!!!!!!!!! :scared: |

Lots of them do suffer from chlamydia (have I spelt that right?), but its quite safe to be near them (so I've been told) cos its a sexually transmitted disease - so unless you have a desire to be intimate with a koala I guess you are OK!!

Phewww..what a relief.. se was telling me they had things like syphylis.. i ad nasty visions of Aussies getting bored with sheep and molesting the poor wee bears!!! :D |

Darling, unless you are in a wildlife park under controlled conditions you shouldn't go near a koala anyway - they are wild creatures and will do you serious damage if you try and pick one up. Plus of course, and I think I quote Prince Philip here, 'they are pissy little things". As someone who has held a koala in a wildlife park I can vouch for that! adelaidegirl
