If you are flying from Cardiff you're probably paying a silly price for connecting flights but even so I can't believe its that much unless you are using business or first class of course!
We're probably going to use Emirates or Singapore and can do it for about £1800 - 2000 for 2 adults, 2 children one way from London to Melbourne.
I'd check again!

£2500 One way with Singapore Airlines In Dec 2 adults 3 children.

just over a grand 2 adults one way lhr-mel end of August with extra luggage through IOM flying qantas

Cheapest quotes ive had from Asda about 3000 for 3 adults 1 child return sept time...still looking for cheaper tho!

We paid £2500 for 4 adults and 2 kids one way - April with Singapore.
My mum has booked a 2 week return for end of June and its costing her £1000 - i thought June/winter would be cheaper than that!
